🎯 Channel Mix — Where the JAM Pipeline Comes From

Local Search is JAM's compounding free-traffic layer. Latest 30 days (Jun 17 – Jul 14): 208 Business Profile actions at $0 ad cost — 66 calls + 59 direction requests + 83 website clicks. 660 people viewed the profile, driven mostly by "roofing medford oregon" (21 search impressions) and "roofing companies medford oregon" (17). Lifetime Feb–Jul is now ~1,010 interactions. May directions were still the standout of the run at +83% YoY, but the fresh 30-day cut confirms JAM is holding steady in the map pack even after June's softness — website clicks in particular bounced back strongly (83 in 30 days vs 58 for all of June).

Organic Facebook keeps compounding2,586 views (+1,120%) over Jun 17 – Jul 14, and this time it's not just one reel doing the work. The Jul 1 POV reel is still generating tail views, and a second breakout reel around Jul 12 matched its daily peak — the repeatable cadence we called for last month landed. Watch time doubled from 1h 41m → 3h 41m. The audience is still locked into the Rogue Valley (Medford 49.7%, Central Point 13.6%, Eagle Point 9.3%) — exactly the LSA + Local Search targeting radius. Followers ticked up (420 → 422, +2 net) — the reels are now converting some new eyes into follows, not just impressions.

Local Service Ads is the runway — Google Guaranteed verification is in progress. Once live, LSA becomes the top of the funnel (pay-per-qualified-lead, top-of-page placement with the ✓ badge), and every closed job feeds the Facebook Referral Program — the SOP + assets are ready to convert every finished roof into a public referral post that boosts organic reach and Local Search reviews simultaneously.

Combined, the JAM funnel is building a self-reinforcing loop: paid LSA drives qualified leads → jobs get closed → Facebook Referral converts customers into public advocates → organic FB reach grows → Local Search reviews and rankings compound → LSA gets more efficient at the top of the funnel. Every channel below LSA is already running or ready to run — LSA is the missing accelerator.
★ Current priority · Website redesign
Per the onboarding call, the site rebuild is the first project — it drives every marketing effort after it. Below is a live draft of the new design plus the plan to move jamroofing.com over without losing Google rankings.
🌐 Draft Site Preview
A working preview of the new design — bold headlines, local imagery, softened brand, simplified dropdown navigation, and a dedicated commercial section. Opens in a new tab; works on any device.
🌐 View the Draft Site
🔒 Private staging preview (set to noindex — won't appear in Google or affect the live site). Placeholder photos mark where drone shots & project pictures will go.
🗺️ Transfer Plan · Skeleton
  1. Access & inventory — get WordPress, hosting, domain, and Google Search Console / Analytics access (from the current manager, Surefire Social); back up the live site. ✔ all 140 URLs inventoried from the live sitemap
  2. Build on staging — install the new theme on a staging URL; it auto-creates all pages + the dropdown menu. ✔ draft ready
  3. Content & photos — add the new logo, drone shots, project gallery, Google-reviews widget, video, and page copy.
  4. Redirects & SEO18 of 28 pages keep their exact URL and all 112 blog posts stay put (zero redirects) once the new page slugs are aligned to the live site's nested structure. The 8 consolidated pages (About, Reviews, Portfolio ×2, Before/After, Video, Contact) get 301s to their new homepage sections.
  5. QA on staging — test every link, the lead form (→ marketing@jamroofing.com), mobile menu, and page speed.
  6. Launch — back up, cut over in a low-traffic window, load redirects, remove the staging noindex, submit the new sitemap.
  7. Monitor — watch Search Console for 404s and rankings for ~2 weeks; map any stragglers.

📌 Decisions Needed From JAM

🚩 How far to consolidate?

Affects 5 of the 8 redirects above

Folding a page into a homepage anchor means it stops ranking as its own Google result/#reviews reads to Google as just /. That likely costs the searches "jam roofing reviews" and "jam roofing contact." A simpler menu and a deleted URL aren't the same thing.

Recommendation: keep About, Reviews, Contact and Our Work as real pages but leave them out of the nav. The menu stays clean and 5 redirects become zero.

📝 The blog

112 posts on the current site

Recommendation: migrate it as-is. Those posts carry real long-tail Google traffic — keeping the same URLs means zero redirects and no lost rankings.

💼 Careers page

"Now Hiring" on the current site

Recommendation: keep a Careers page. It's not redundant — if you're still hiring, we carry it over rather than redirect it away.

Platform & Device Breakdown

Of the 660 profile views · Jun 17 – Jul 14
Desktop is winning by a lot — 61% of profile views come from desktop (Search 50% + Maps 11%) vs 39% mobile. Unusual for a home-services category; suggests the search intent is more researcher-mode than urgent-storm-mode right now. Aligns with the strong 83 website clicks — desktop researchers click through to jamroofing.com more than mobile skimmers do.

1 roofing medford oregon 21

5 jam roofing medford owners < 15
Queries 1 & 2 are exactly the intent we want — high-value, high-commercial-intent local roofing searches. The profile is winning them. Row 4 is a competitor-brand miss ("crater roofing eagle point oregon phone number") — someone hunting for a competitor by name landed on JAM instead, which is a small but real ranking win. Row 5 ("jam roofing medford owners") is direct brand-search — starting to see people looking up JAM by name.

83
Last 30 Days
~342
Lifetime (6 mo)
The breakout metric of this refresh — 83 clicks in 30 days is more than all of June (58) or the March peak (75). Desktop-heavy discovery is doing more researcher-mode clicks to jamroofing.com. Website Rebuild will be pushing on the front door that's already receiving increased traffic.
Why This Matters for the LSA Program
Local Search + Local Service Ads compound. Each dollar spent on LSA pushes JAM higher in the local pack, which in turn drives more free GMB interactions. The Jun 17 – Jul 14 refresh gives us three "answered" watch-list items from last month: call volume recovered (66 in the last 30 days ≈ March peak monthly rate), direction requests are holding steady (~2/day), and website clicks broke out (83 in 30 days vs 58 for all of June). The May +83% direction-request signal appears to have been a real ranking gain, not a one-month blip.

Watch list for August:
  • Can the website-click momentum continue? — the 83 in this snapshot is our new high-water mark; Website Rebuild will amplify if the trend holds
  • Search terms drift — right now "roofing medford oregon" (21) + "roofing companies medford oregon" (17) are the two anchors. Watch for the "commercial roofing" category to grow — that's a higher-ticket vertical
  • Direct brand search — "jam roofing medford owners" shows up in top 5 for the first time; a rising direct-brand signal means the FB reels + LSA + Local Search compound is starting to build recognition
  • Desktop / mobile mix — 61% desktop is unusual for home services; watch whether mobile share grows as summer storms return

Facebook + Instagram now both live — Jun 17 – Jul 14 window on FB (28 days) and Jun 15 – Jul 14 on IG (30 days · @jamroofingofficial). FB total views hit 2,586 (+1,120%) — 62% higher than last month's snapshot — and the concentration risk we flagged last month is easing: a second hit reel around Jul 12 matched the Jul 1 POV reel's daily peak. Watch time doubled to 3h 41m (+37,219%) and Reels now account for 84.8% of FB views. IG is in its earliest days: 123 views across 4 posts, 99.2% non-follower reach, and the same "re-roof" reel that hit 116 views on IG powered most of it. Same POV reel that pulled 1,139 on FB got only 6 on IG — the IG algo hasn't warmed up yet; that takes cadence.

Reels have taken over — up from 73.9% → 84.8% of all views. Photo share compressed almost in half (17% → 9.5%) as reels absorbed more of the algorithm's push. The signal is clear: keep pouring the video budget into short-form, use photos as supplementary posts rather than the headline.

Concentration risk on FB eased — two hits inside 12 days (Jul 1 + Jul 12) is exactly the repeatable cadence we asked for. IG is still in warm-up: the "re-roof" reel showed the account CAN pull real views (116), but the POV reel that killed on FB got only 6 on IG. Instagram's algorithm needs post-cadence to trust the account. Recommendation: mirror every FB reel to IG going forward — even if the first 5-10 flop, the algo needs the volume to learn.

Content Direction · Recommended Cadence
Facebook (2–3 posts/week): before/after roof reels, storm-response callouts, neighborhood project highlights, referral shout-outs, GAF / Owens Corning certification proof. The Facebook Referral Program tab already tracks referral-post engagement — organic FB content amplifies that flywheel.

Instagram (3–4 posts + 2–3 reels/week · @jamroofingofficial LIVE): visual-first — drone shots of finished roofs, satisfying transformations, day-in-the-life crew content. First 30-day window (Jun 15 – Jul 14): 123 views, 118 accounts reached, 4 posts, +1 follower. The Jul 13 "re-roof" reel already hit 116 views — the account CAN pull real numbers. But the Jul 1 POV reel that killed on FB (1,139 views) only got 6 views on IG. The IG algorithm needs cadence to trust the account — mirror every FB reel to IG going forward, even if the first 5–10 flop.

LinkedIn (1–2 posts/week): insurance-partner + B2B angle — adjuster shout-outs, storm-response readiness posts, warranty / certification proofs, hiring content. Different audience, different tone.

First refresh: at end of the first full month of organic activity we'll pull metrics from each platform (Meta Business Suite for FB + IG; LinkedIn Company page analytics) and this tab lights up with real numbers.
